Time alone with Tawanda, inside the work you do together
Who it is for and what the sessions are.
In the second and third sessions each of you meets Tawanda alone for fifty minutes. It is a chance to tell your own story without your partner in the room, and to say what you want from the work.
Before the first one-on-one, Tawanda tells you in writing how she handles what she hears alone, so that nothing is a surprise. A later one-on-one is added only if you both agree it would help.
How it works, and what it is not
Fifty minutes
Shorter than a joint session, with the same fee rule: you see it in writing first.
A set structure
Tawanda asks the same questions of each of you, so the two sessions are fair to both.
Not individual therapy
These sessions serve the couples work. If one of you wants therapy of your own, Tawanda will suggest someone else.
Not a place for secrets to be kept by her
She tells you before you begin how she handles what she hears, and you decide what to say.
Three questions
Will my partner know what I said?
Tawanda explains her policy in writing before the first one-on-one, and you decide what to say after you have read it.
Can I ask for one later?
Yes, if your partner agrees. Tawanda adds it when it would help the joint sessions.
How are they paid?
Like any session: you pay yourself, and the fee is given in writing before you start.
Ready to write to us?
Tell us what times suit you both. Fees are explained in writing before you start.
