Your first session
Before, during and after
Nothing in the first visit is a test. It is a conversation, and you leave knowing what the work would be.
- Before the visit
Step 1: Before
You write to us and we reply within one business day. We send intake forms through the practice's own portal and a written fee estimate if you are paying yourselves.
- 80 minutes
Step 2: During
Eighty minutes with Tawanda, the two of you together. She explains how she works and the limits of confidentiality, then hears from each of you in turn.
- At the end
Step 3: After
In the last few minutes you decide together whether to go on. If you do, she tells you what the second and third sessions are.
What Tawanda will ask
A short list, so nothing surprises you.
She asks what you each hope the work will do, what has been hardest this month, and how you want to be spoken to in the room. She does not ask you to describe the breach in detail in the first session unless you want to.
She will tell you what she does not do: she does not decide who is to blame, and she does not give a verdict.
